Although it’s nearing the end of summer, and the children are going back to school, there are still plenty of places in Naperville to take your kids for a fun weekend adventure! The start of school signals the routine of Autumn; school, extracurricular activities, and the start of the Holiday Season. In all the excitement and chaos of the early fall months, your kids can still get all the fun they crave after school days. I made a shortlist of some of the best spots in Naperville to bring your children.
Two Playroom Cafe
Two Playroom Cafe is simply amazing. They have beautifully decorated rooms that are open to the public for play, or you can rent out either the entire space or part of the space for a birthday party. For parties, they have the option of decorating the space for you with balloons and backdrops– perfect for photos. All in all, Two Playroom Cafe is a dream.
DuPage Children’s Museum
This museum is right in the heart of Naperville. It is an incredible museum with rotating events; the next one on the list is a Pajama Party on Friday, Sept. 23rd. Pumpkin Palooza takes place on Saturday, Oct. 29, if you’re looking to plan a fun fall evening with your children. The DuPage Children’s Museum has unbelievable exhibits for your little ones to play, learn, and explore. I promise you, your Naperville kids are going to love.
Kiddy Club Playground
Kiddy Club is the perfect place to take your children, especially if you have a toddler and a baby. They have activities for all ages, and it’s the newest indoor playroom in the Chicagoland area. There is an incredible sandbox, slides and climbing equipment, and areas designated for varied ages. As we creep into Autumn, it’s always good to have a space to take your children once it’s too chilly to spend too much time outside.
Sensory Garden Playground
Although it’s almost September, we all know how unpredictable the temperatures can be for an IL Autumn. Make the most of the sunshine and warmer temperatures as you can with your children and visit the Sensory Garden Playground. This place is truly magical; your children can run around and let their imaginations run right along with them. There are so many different areas and playsets to enjoy and explore. Perfect for a weekend activity!
Cosley Zoo
This is a wonderful place for your whole family to enjoy. Cosley Zoo has over 20 exhibits for your children to learn about and fall in love with. There are activities and events for your children to gain a wonderful educational experience, like the Stream Cleanup on Sunday, Sept. 18. Of course, take your kids to get beautiful and fun fall activities; the whole month of October is Pumpkin Fest. The zoo is a wonderful place to have fun with your children and get a memorable experience.
