Your whole family can enjoy fresh-baked treats, holiday caroling, hot chocolate and even ice skating. It’ll be a beautiful holiday season, and you and your family can make memories to last.
Christkindlmarket
This might be the area’s most famous holiday tradition, and for good reason. The Christkindmarket has two locations in Chicago, one in the Loop and one in Wrigleyville. The location in Wrigleyville is especially great for little ones, since it’s right by the baseball stadium and there is an ice-skating rink. At the market, you and your family can enjoy delicious, German-inspired food and drinks while browsing handcrafted gifts.
Oak Park Winterfest & Cookie Walk
Downtown Oak Park is hosting their annual Winterfest and Cookie Walk on Saturday, Dec. 2nd. It’s an all-day event made for families! There’s a morning screening of The Grinch, Santa will be walking around to say hello, and you can fill up an entire cookie tin on the walk. End the day with some decadent hot chocolate, and you have a truly perfect winter day.
An Almost Winter Day
South Elgin is hosting its 22nd annual Almost Winter Day fest on Saturday, Nov. 18! Together, you and your family can enjoy snacks, decorate cookies, complete art projects and drop-off letters to Santa! Before the festival ends, Santa himself will stop by to say hello to all the little ones.
Sonny Acres Farm Light Show
This Friday, Nov. 17th, Santa Claus will be making an appearance at this stunning light show. You can walk through a stunning display of bright holiday lights, perfect to get your family ready for a wonderful holiday season! They have snacks and refreshments to enjoy as you take in some fun and bright holiday lights.
