Although we’re in July- which is just nuts- there are still a ton of Chicago summer festivals that are perfect for everyone in your family. I know that the summer months can sometimes be filled with wondering what to do with your family that day. We are so lucky to have access to incredible festivals to introduce so much culture, music and experiences.
Roscoe Village Burger Fest
July 7-9
This festival is made for families! Home to some of the best burgers in the city, and even voted Chicago’s Best Burger. Full of music, food and even a designated Kid’s Zone, this is a perfect spot for little ones to have a great time. Parents can relax and enjoy delicious meals while their children get to make crafts and have fun together.
Millennium Art Festival
July 14-16
Over 100 art vendors are here for a weekend of original artwork like paintings, sculptures, photography and furniture. Along with exposing your children to an array of art and culture, you can all enjoy being together. The festival is in Grant Park, so after a day of browsing beautiful artwork, you can take a walk along the Lakeshore path.
Chinatown Summer Fair
July 29-30
This festival is filled with magical moments for your children to experience. Delicious food, arts and crafts, performances, breakdancing shows and Kung Fu demonstrations. There’s a wonderful children’s area as well, so your little ones can create and spend time with other kids.
Retro On Roscoe
August 11-13
This street fest is chalk full of antiques, art, music and food. A comprehensive children’s zone is complete with inflatables, face painters, balloon artists, and arts and crafts. Your kiddos will love spending the day, or the weekend, making beautiful new memories and enjoying some amazing quality time.
