As we get more into the Autumn season in Chicago, I wanted to share one of my favorite milestone photography sessions from this past Summer! Morning outdoor sessions on the beach are always so much fun, and I had a blast with these two as we celebrated baby Arlo’s first year.
Outdoor sessions are wonderful for little ones since they get (almost) all the free reign to toddle around and play. It gives you both the ability to have relaxed fun, and for your child it really feels like a special playtime than a potentially stressful photography session. You and your little one get to be playful and connect, while I photograph all the beautiful and irreplaceable moments that happen in between.
Mama was a vision for this session! She looked stunning and effortless in the white sundress, and I love a wide-brimmed hat as an extra accessory. Arlo was so adorable in his overalls, and, of course, was handsome in his own hat. My heart was melting when we were taking the final frames of the two of them sitting between the long grass. First year milestones are incredibly important to capture, so that you can remember all the details of a whole year of firsts.
